Fantasy Fest was once again shortly preceded by a hurricane, thankfully milder than Georges, but still very wet and wild. So Key West was very much ready to cut loose and have fun with its visitors for the week. Below a few locals take a breather at the La-Te-Da pool bar the day before it all starts.

Building decoration was as usually varied, from the complex to the tacky
There were gladiatorsand there were... well not
Some had a pointothers didn't need one
Some stood above the crowd
others stood out in their cool shades
The crowds gather
and the King and Queen arrive
Some couldn't wait to let loose
Some just sat and took it all in
And then as darkness set in the parade finally arrives
Once again Key West survived the storms , had just the way to celebrate, and a good time was had by all.
